Step 1: Download the App
- iOS: Download from App Store
- Android: Download from Google Play
Step 2: Register Your Account
- Open the app and create your user account.
- You will get a confirmation email that you need to click on to activate your account.
- Use your work email address if possible — this makes it easier for your supervisor to add you to the monitoring system in HAVS Protect Manager.
- You can also use your private email accounts like hotmail, gmail etc.
- You cannot use Apples feature that hides your email address.
Step 3: Connect the Sensor
- In the app, go to Startpage and follow the steps to connect your sensor.
- Connecting can take up to one minute.
- If the connection fails, restart the app and try again.
Use the Sensor Every Time You Use Vibrating Tools
To get the full benefit of HAVS Protect, it’s important to always wear the sensor whenever you work with vibrating tools.
This ensures:
✅ All vibration exposure data is collected.
✅ Risk assessments can be made accurately.
✅ Both you and your supervisor will receive warnings if your exposure gets too high.
This is not only important for your personal safety, but also to comply with workplace safety laws and regulations.
With HAVS Protect, you also get a complete history of your vibration exposure over time — crucial documentation for your long-term health and future safety reviews.
Automatic Reconnection
- Once a sensor has been paired with your app, it will automatically reconnect the next time it’s nearby — as long as Bluetooth is enabled.
- If the connection is lost during work, the sensor will automatically reconnect when it comes back in range (approximately 10 meters in clear view).
- To keep your data always up to date, keep your phone with you during work.
How Your Data Is Saved
- Data is sent to the cloud every minute when connected.
- If the sensor collects vibration points offline, they will sync automatically next time the sensor reconnects.
Daily Reset and Multiple Sensors
- Every morning, the sensor resets to zero points when you connect it.
- If you manually disconnect the sensor in the app, it also resets to zero.
- Placing the sensor on the charger also triggers a reset.
- If you use more than one sensor during a workday, the app updates your data every minute instead of every 2 seconds to merge data from all sensors.
Adjusting the Strap
- The wrist strap should fit comfortably — not too tight.
- The sensor should feel loose enough to avoid discomfort, but still fit snugly under your work glove.
- If you have smaller hands or sensitive skin, you can request a softer strap.
