When you receive your HAVS Protect sensor, the battery will have a maximum charge of 30%. This is due to transport regulations for LiPo batteries, which limit the charge level during shipping.
First Charge – What to Expect
Because of this, your sensor may arrive with a very low battery level, or even completely empty. We recommend charging the sensor fully before first use.
How to Charge the Sensor
- Connect the sensor to the charger using the supplied cable.
- While charging, the sensor’s LED will blink red, yellow, and green.
- A full charge from empty takes approximately 2 hours.
Battery Life and Monitoring
- When fully charged, the sensor typically lasts for 2 to 4 working days, depending on usage.
- You can always check the battery level directly in the HAVS Protect app.
- The app displays the battery level as green dots, where each dot represents 10% charge.
Battery Lifespan
The sensor uses a LiPo battery with a lifespan of around 500 charge cycles.
After around 500 charges, the battery’s maximum capacity may gradually drop below 80% of the original capacity. This is a natural characteristic of LiPo batteries.
